Project brief
THE REQUEST
Media Ed Tech Institute developed “The Hands That Shape Tomorrow”, a new documentary directed by Emmy Award-winning Director Kyra Knox. The documentary gives an in-depth view of the positive outcomes on the lives of early childhood educators as they received additional income. For six months, TML Communications was asked to provide strategic communication services and event management services to spread this important message.
THE SOLUTION
TML Communications worked to increase awareness of “The Hands That Shape Tomorrow” and provided event planning, public relations and project management services for three film screenings for key stakeholders in Downingtown, PA, West Chester, PA and Philadelphia, PA.
THE OUTCOME
Media Ed Tech Institute, under the leadership of Dr. Jeremy C. McCool and Dr. Laquana Cooke, achieved their outreach goals and held three sold out successful screenings for their audience. Hundreds of guests had the opportunity to view the documentary and gain a deeper understanding of the low wages paid to early childhood educators. Media Ed Tech Institute will use the success of this project to push for increased wages, funding, discussion, and legislative changes to make progress on this vital issue.
